Production Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop production operations, ensuring efficiency, high quality and timely delivery in cooperation with the planning department.
• Lead improvement initiatives that reduce costs and increase efficiency in production and supply chain processes.
• Lead production strategy and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including LEAN projects.
• Develop and implement training plans for production employees, ensuring necessary competencies.
• Foster and support cross-functional collaboration for effective operations.
• Monitor and optimize performance indicators (KPI’s) and processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Engage team leaders and strengthen their involvement and commitment to operational goals.
• Lead change processes, motivating the team by example.
• Develop and implement service and maintenance plans for production equipment.
• Prepare business cases for new projects and investments.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in production.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in metalworking production or operations management.
• Bachelor’s degree in management or engineering will be considered as an advantage.
• Technical understanding of production processes and ability to read technical drawings.
• Experience in managing teams and implementing organizational changes, with the ability to motivate employees.
• Experience with ERP or CRM systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, logical approach to challenges, and ability to independently implement improvements.
• Experience in monitoring and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
• Good Latvian and English skills, both written and spoken. English is used daily for communication with international colleagues and for documentation preparation.
